Cummins Service Engineering Graduate Programme 2022
The successful candidate will join an Engineering team focused on the Company’s Power Systems business division operating out of Johannesburg. During the 1-year graduate programme, the successful candidate will be performing the following duties and responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on system, product, and/or technology issues
- Develop a clear understanding of causal mechanisms, suggest suitable solutions, take ownership of resolution, and document results under the guidance
- Apply and support problem-solving processes e.g. seven-step approach
- Work closely with technical experts in data trends and failure analysis in administering product resolutions
- Resolve relatively complex issues in products, systems, components, subsystems, or services
- Adhere to established work processes while still engaged in technology and product knowledge development
- Contribute to team goals and exhibit a level of influence and sustain proficiency in aspects important to the role
Who should apply?
Applicants must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements to qualify for the role:
- Holds a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical qualification
- Solid relationship-building skills with coworkers
- Seeks new ways to improve and take on challenges through informal and formal development channels
- Previous relevant work experience is preferred but not a requirement
