RCL Foods SHE Internship 2022
Reporting directly to the Senior Risk Control Officer, the successful candidate will be joining the Specialty division at RCL’s Centurion facilities. Moreover, the primary duty of the successful candidate is to conduct administrative tasks in support of the SHEQ department.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance in order to improve, maintain, monitor current management systems as well as standard operating procedures (ISO45001)
- Ensure compliance to all HSE procedures
- Carry out routine inspections, audits, and safety compliance and come up with recommendations addressing non-compliance
- Perform both planned and unplanned safety inspections and provide reports
- Run/review risk assessments
- Compile results for weekly and monthly submissions, or as needed
- Schedule and implement emergency response drills
- Collect/organize data and support incident investigations
- Make sure noticeboards show important HSE information
- Participate and document HSE meeting minutes
- Provide assistance with executing Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions
Who should apply?
- Holds a diploma or currently pursuing studies in Health and Safety
- Preferably with a SAMTRAC certification
- Knowledgeable with internal and administration compliance, project management, and reporting
- A team player with good communication skills
