The Shoprite YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme is now open and accepting applications from young South Africans who want to gain valuable work experience. Learn how to apply and what the programme offers.

Applications open for YES Programme at Shoprite

Unemployed and unskilled South African youth (aged 18 to 34) are now invited to apply for specialist training and educational programmes at the Shoprite Group throughout the year.

With youth unemployment at a whopping 63.9%, the Group’s talent attraction and development strategy focuses heavily on providing unemployed youth with early career opportunities.

The Youth Employment Service is a business-driven initiative with government and labour that builds economic pathways for youth to help reduce unemployment. 

Requirements

• South African youth between 18 and 34 years. 
• A South African Matric or equivalent qualification
• A Retail Readiness Progamme (RRP) qualification

  • Submit your CV at the nearest Shoprite, Checkers, or Usave supermarkets

  On completion of the programme, successfull YES learners are skilled to work in retail or start their own retail business.
