x14 Road Worker Foreman Vacancies at Department of Roads and Transport
Requirements :
- Grade 10 /Std. 8, or equivalent with five (5) years’ experience in Road Construction and Road Maintenance field. Maintenance supervisory skills. Code 10/C1 with PDP drivers licence. Ability and willingness to work under pressure. Good communication skills will be an added advantage. Ability to work long hours in a team.
Duties :
Supervise of maintenance projects. Ensure that team members execute the tasks as per duty sheets allocated to them. Task allocation to subordinates. Compile work schedules for each week. See to all illegal activities in road reserves and report to the superiors.
Execute Equipment supervision. Conduct inspection of machines and work sites. Responsible for equipment and material that are booked out. Execute safety procedures and control. Compile safety incidences reports.
Oversee onsite training. Ensure compliance with legislation and policies. Monitor contractors’ compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Perform PMDS for the team responsible for.
