Engineering Learnership Opportunity

The Engineering Learnership is designed for individuals who have completed N2 or N3 with

relevant trade theory, offering them the chance to acquire technical and work-specific skills in their chosen engineering trade fields. This comprehensive program integrates both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Upon successful completion, participants will qualify as Artisans with a trade certificate.

Engineering Learnership Programs Available in the Following Disciplines:

  • Boilermaking
  • Fitting
  • Electrical

Responsibilities:

Participants will embark on an Engineering Learnership programme accredited by the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) and the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA). This programme includes:

Institutional Training: Learners will undergo formal training at one of the selected accredited training providers. This component focuses on providing the theoretical foundation needed for their chosen trade.

Practical Training: Learners will gain hands-on experience by participating in practical training at the company’s premises. This exposure is crucial for developing the skills and competencies required in real-world engineering environments.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates interested in this learnership must meet the following criteria:

Educational Background:

Grade 12 (Matric)

N2 certificate with relevant trade theory for Mechanical disciplines

N3 certificate with relevant trade theory for Electrical disciplines

Alternatively, candidates with a Technical Matric that includes relevant trade theory or a Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science will also be considered.
