It depends on the spread which varies from broker to broker... Normally Eurusd is the currency pair with the lowest spread of 9-30 depending on the liquidity or trading volume at that moment... If the spread is 15 then you multiply 15 by your lot size 15*0.01 then your trade will start on -0.15 on that particular pair and in that way you paid the broker... ICmarkets offers the lowest spread and that's the most important thing to consider when choosing a forex broker... I can tell you why it's not good to trade the impact of speech or NFP prior the release, that's why most of people lose all their trading capital during NFP/speech... That's simply because of not knowing the power of spread and that's another thing that makes demo different from live... "Spread", if you don't understand how it works you'll lose your trading capital. When you trade fundamentals you need proper knowledge about spread in order to develop your trading strategies... You don't just dive in when there's high volatility, please do check the spread and understand how dangerous can it be...
