Bell Equipment SA Apprenticeship Programmes

Bell Equipment South Africa is currently accepting applications for a number of Apprenticeship openings in the following roles:

  • Auto Electrician Apprentice
  • Tuner Apprentice
  • Boilermaker Apprentice (CoS)
  • Millwright Apprentice (CoS)
  • Earth Moving Mechanic Apprentice

Who should apply?

Applicants will need to meet the minimum qualification requirements of the apprenticeship they are applying for:

Auto Electrician Apprentice

  • Completed N2 studies with four subjects and relevant trade theory subjects e.g. Engineering Science, Mathematics, Electrotechnics/Industrial Electronics, and Electrical Trade Theory
  • Must be able to pass ABET Level 4 assessment
  • In good physical condition and willing to take a medical exam and other relevant tests
  • Holds a learner’s license
  • Must live within a 50 km radius from the work site
  • Preferably with experience working in the engineering sector and good scores in basic hand skills training

Turner Apprentice

  • Completed N2 studies with four subjects and relevant trade theory subjects e.g. Engineering Science, Mathematics, Fitting and Machining Theory, Engineering Drawing
  • Holds a National Certificate Vocational (Level 4) in Fitting and Turning ERD
  • Must be able to pass ABET Level 4 assessment
  • In good physical condition and willing to take relevant medical examinations
  • Holds a learner’s license
  • Must live within a 50 km radius from the work site
  • Preferably with experience working in the engineering sector and good scores in basic hand skills training and measuring equipment  course

Boilermaker Apprentice

  • Completed N2 studies with four subjects and relevant trade theory subjects e.g. Engineering Science, Mathematics, Boilermaker / Platters Trade Theory, Engineering Drawing
  • Or with a National Vocational Certificate Level 3 ERD (with Welding as a subject)
  • Must be able to pass ABET Level 4 assessment
  • In good physical condition and willing to take relevant medical examinations
  • Holds a learner’s license
  • Must live within a 50 km radius from the work site
  • Preferably with experience working in the engineering sector and good scores in basic hand skills training and measuring equipment  course

Millwright Apprentice

  • Completed N2 studies with four subjects and relevant trade theory subjects e.g. Engineering Science, Mathematics, Electrical Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics / Engineering Drawing
  • Or with a National Vocational Certificate Level 4 EIC or Electrical Infrastructure and Construction
  • Must be able to pass ABET Level 4 assessment
  • In good physical condition and willing to take relevant medical examinations
  • Holds a learner’s license
  • Must live within a 50 km radius from the work site
  • Preferably with experience working in the engineering sector and good scores in basic hand skills training and measuring equipment  course

Earthmoving Mechanic Apprentice

  • Completed N2 studies with four subjects and relevant trade theory subjects e.g. Engineering Science, Mathematics, Diesel Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics / Engineering Drawing
  • Or with a National Vocational Certificate Level 3 ERD with seven Automotive subjects
  • Or Grade 12 with Mathematics (core), Engineering Graphics and Design, Physical Science, and Mechanical Technology
  • Holds a valid driver’s license (Code EB 08)
  • In good physical condition and willing to take relevant medical examinations
  • Must live within a 50 km radius from the Bell Customer Service Centre
  • Preferably with experience working in the engineering sector and good scores in basic hand skills training and measuring equipment  course
