DataProphet Software Engineer Internship
The Software Engineer Intern will be involved in all facets of the DataProphet stack including architecture design, infrastructure management, toolchain development, and pipeline and asset implementation, among others. In line with these general tasks, the successful candidate will be performing the following duties and responsibilities:
- Design and development of real-world machine learning systems (Python-based)
- Design and generation of high-performance APIs using back-end web frameworks including, but not limited to Flask or Jango
- Manage and work with Redis and PostgreSQL databases with advanced features such as table partitioning in massive time-series data sets
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS) development using SaltStack and Terraform
- Conduct system security tests and analysis with a “security first” mindset
This is a paid internship that runs for a duration of 1 to 3 months with the possibility of an extension based on the intern’s performance.
Who should apply?
Applicant must meet the following minimum qualification requirements to apply:
- Holds an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science Statistics, Mathematics, or any equivalent qualification
- Must have experience working with the following technologies:
- Python
- FastAPI, Django, or Flask
- SQL and relational databases
- Preferably with comprehensive knowledge of public cloud infrastructure
- Preferably with a working background in software development using GraphQL, Relay, or Frontend (React)
