South African Reserve Bank Graduate Development Programme 2022

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work and learn at SARB’s headquarters where the graduate programme will run from January to December 2023 at the SARB Academy. During the graduate programme, the graduate will gain exposure to a range of learning interventions based wholly in central

banking and are all are geared toward developing well-equipped and versatile central bankers. Furthermore, the successful candidate is expected to acquire the following professional and personal skills such as:

• Assertive communication
• Public speaking and presentations
• Developing effective PowerPoint presentations
• Impactful reporting
• Teamwork
• Personal excellence and etiquette

At the end of the Graduate Programme, selected graduates will be offered permanent positions in SARB. The selection of graduates will be based on the following criteria:

• Interested in growing a career at SARB
• Inclined to contribute to financial stability, monetary policy, currency management, financial markets, supervising financial institutions
• Displayed behavior aligned with SARB’s values such as excellence, accountability, respect, integrity, open communication, and trust
• Able to work and contribute independently or as part of a team
• Showed superior performance at work and in academics

 

Who should apply?

• Holds a postgraduate qualification in any of the following areas:
