Concurrent IT Ops Engineer Internship 2022
The successful candidate will be working with the Support Team in providing outstanding customer service and support through various channels e.g. phone, social media, and email in the most timely manner.
In order to achieve this, the IT Ops Intern will be performing the following duties and responsibilities:
- Attend to 24-hour emergency support calls
- Must excel in handling Linux and database management for the length of the internship
- Learn and apply ITIL processes
- Collaborate with Support and Project Managers in facilitating product roll-outs on customer networks
- Register customer upgrade procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance on customer portals during periods of low traffic
- Provide assistance with product testing
Who should apply?
To qualify for this internship role, you must satisfy these minimum eligibility and competency requirements:
- Excellent skills in SQL, including SQL queries
- Basic knowledge of C/C++
- Preferably with GSM background
- Able to install operating systems and software
- Familiarity with reading and understanding Bash and XML scripts
- Effective problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Proven reporting and documenting skills
- Preferably Unix or Linux certified
