Discovery Long-Term Insurance Learnership 2022

The successful candidate will be part of the KZN Service Team of Discovery Health. In addition to an FETC Long-Term Insurance NQF L4 qualification after successfully completing the learnership, the incumbent is expected to acquire key skills through the learnerhip’s structured learning aspect combined with workplace and practical experience in the financial services sector.

Duties and responsibilities

• Discovery Health – long-term insurance
• Contact centre – claims, medical aid client servicing, health benefits administration, and new business

Who should apply?

Applicants who meet the role’s basic eligibility requirements listed below are qualified to apply:

• Completed Grade 12 and have attained the following grade requirements:
  • English (min L4 – 50%)
  • Maths (min L4 -50%)
  • Maths Literacy (min L5 – 60%)
  • 2nd language (min L4 – 50%)
  • An incomplete tertiary qualification is an advantage
• Unemployed and not currently pursuing post-matric studies
• Have not completed any learnerships
• South African citizens between 18 and 25 years old
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Must have basic MS Outlook and Excel skills
• Sharp eye for detail and high-level accuracy
• An innovative, critical thinker with good problem-solving skills
• Follows a high standard for quality and quantity
• Methodical, systematic, and organized
• Sound planning and time management skills
• Able to work well independently or as part of a team
• Able to multi-task in a high-pressure work environment
• Adaptable to constantly changing circumstances
• Knows how to deal with criticisms and learn from it
