Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / National Certificate.
- Relevant Electrical qualification and practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in steel manufacturing or a heavy industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment maintenance.
- Experience with AC and DC drives.
- Light current fault-finding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
- Knowledge of overhead cranes, CNC machines, generators, and electrical control systems.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and standby callouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical equipment and electronic control systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on industrial machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Maintain overhead cranes, CNC machines, generators, and electric fencing.
- Conduct electrical installations, repairs, and replacements.
- Perform AC/DC drive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Interpret schematic drawings to identify faults.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
Skills Required
- Industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing machinery and heavy industrial equipment.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
