Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Valid DMRE/MQA Level 3 Blasting Certificate.
- Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
- Understanding of underground mining safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and willing to work underground.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years' underground mining experience.
- Experience in:
- Open stoping
- Block caving
- Sub-level caving operations
- Experience with drilling, blasting, charging-up, and long-hole drilling is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct drilling, charging, and blasting activities safely.
- Perform workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements.
- Supervise crew activities and communicate production plans.
- Report equipment defects and workplace hazards.
Preference Will Be Given To
- Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) from communities surrounding the mine.
- Suitably qualified women.
